THE COMPASS MISSION
We believe that a person's academic achievement should be bounded solely by the horizon of their intellectual curiosity, and that the breadth of innovation of people from all backgrounds is essential to the vitality of the physical sciences. Guided by these beliefs, the Compass Project seeks to nurture a community-focused environment that will empower students to succeed in pursuing their scientific interests and contribute uniquely to the physical sciences community.

Welcome to the homepage for the Compass Project at the University of California, Berkeley. The Compass Project is a community of undergraduates and graduate students in the physical science departments at Berkeley (Physics, Astronomy, Earth & Planetary Sciences). To learn more about The Compass Project go to the about us section of our website.
Current Undergraduates who are interested in pursuing a major in the physical sciences or are just interested in learning more about physics should come to the next installment of our lecture series. If you are an undergraduate coming to Berkeley next fall check out our summer program and consider applying to join the Compass Team. If you are a graduate student interested in getting involved with Compass tell us a little bit about yourself and what interests you about Compass. If you are a potential donor, click to learn more about what Compass needs to sustain itself and grow in the future.
